Meet sweet baby Brantley! Brantley’s Mom contacted me a few months ago in anticipation of taking newborn pictures for her soon-to-be little boy :) So as soon as he was born, she let me know and we scheduled his session! His dad had a work hat we were able to use as a prop and since his family loves to hunt we threw in some camo! Had a great time meeting his sweet Mom and getting to shoot his first pictures :) Newborn pictures one of my favorite things, because infants can’t take a bad picture! They are all so cute it just makes you want to squeeze them! haha. Even though it takes a lot of time it’s very rewarding :) Here are a few of my favorites from the day! Is it just …
I am so behind on my blogging it’s sad! But I am getting back on track and have finally posted Sommer & Aaron’s beautiful engagements! We chose one of the hottest days of the summer for their engagement session (or so it felt like! lol) but Sommer & Aaron were troupers and never complained. We shot these on a beautiful farm in Crowley, LA. It’s really one of my favorite places to shoot with all the interesting props and most especially the moss!! My favorite :) You can tell how happy Sommer & Aaron are and I can’t wait for their wedding in a few weeks!! :)
This morning I had a surprising phone call from my grandmother at 7 am telling me to hurry to the hospital because my 39th cousin was on his way to being born! I hurried over to the hospital to be there to photograph his first moments. All births are beautiful and special, but when it’s your own family it’s just that much more amazing :) It’s my aunt & uncle’s 2nd son and we were all surprised at another boy! Except for my aunt who had been keeping it a secret the whole time! lol. Despite poor lighting conditions and having to shoot most all the pictures through the nursery window, I think Andrew’s first moments are well documented! :)
Whew! These past few weeks have been SUPER hectic, I haven’t gotten a chance to blog anything! Things have finally slowed down a little and I’m enjoying the time to catch up on all my editing. Meet the Floyd Family! They have two adorable twin girls :) I am IN LOVE with their session because the pictures are so candid and honest! Raising twins makes your life a little bit crazy and I think their pictures showed it off :)) haha. I had a great time shooting their little family and with the help of a couple packs of candy, I think the twins had fun too!
